The course starts now and never ends! It is a completely self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish.
How long do I have access to the course?
How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own.
Does the course teach me how to set up a wordpress.org or wordpress.com website?
The course teaches you how to set up a wordpress.org website. Why? Well, the short answer is because it's better. The longer answer is because it is self hosted you have far more control over your site and what happens with it. You have full control of your data, access to many more plugins and can monetise it better.
I want to start an online store. Will this course help?
Yes! The course goes through setting up your WordPress site with WooCommerce and creating an e-commerce site.
I'm not a mum, can I take the course?
Absolutely. The course was created by Work At Home Mums, so mums are kind of our thing, but the course doesn't actually have anything 'mum' about it. It will work just as well if you're a mum, dad, grandparent, run screaming at the sight of kids, or a crazy cat lady. If you need a website, this course can help.
Are there any extra costs?
Yes, you'll need to pay for your domain name, hosting, and WordPress theme. There may also be costs involved if you decide to buy additional WordPress plugins, but most have a free version that you can try first.
You're in Australia and I'm not. Is the course still relevant?
Yes. There are a couple of things in the setting up a business section that are set for Australian law (but your own country may have similar practices in place), but the rest is totally global.
Does the course come with coaching?
No, this is a self guided and self paced course. If you get stuck, you are free to ask questions at the bottom of the lessons and we will help where we can.

Extra costs

The goal of this course is to get you a fully functioning website suited to your needs for the lowest price possible. However you will need to buy a few things.

Domain name

You'll need to register a domain name (the web address people use to find your site). You'll get shown how to do this. Approx cost of AU$20 per year.

Hosting

You'll need to host your site on a server. The course shows you how to do this as well. Approx cost AU$200 per year.

WordPress

You'll need to download and install WordPress - the content management system that's going to run your site. This is free to download and use.

Website theme

You'll need a theme to get your website looking spiffy. You can get free one's however the one I recommend in the course is US$89 per year.

Plugins

These are what give the website it functionality. There's some recommended in the course and you might come across some others yourself. Some plugins are free and others costs vary.
